Classification of Diesel generator sets:
1. According to their usage, the gensets can be divided into Stationary diesel generator sets, Marine diesel generator sets, and Special diesel generator sets. Among them, the Special diesel generator sets can be divided into Closed diesel generator sets, Mobile diesel generator sets, and Emergency diesel generator sets, etc; wherein the Mobile diesel generator sets can be further divided into vehicle-mounted diesel generator set, Trailer diesel generator set, and Hand-pushed diesel generator set, etc.
2. According to the engine speed, and can be classified into High-speed diesel generator sets (speed more than 1000 r/min), Medium-speed diesel generator sets (speed at 300-1000 r/min), and Low-speed diesel generator sets (speed lower than 300 r/min, often used in large power plant).
