Liquid Fuel Power Plants refers to an energy station that uses combustible liquids as fuel and with internal combustion engines as the prime mover to drive alternator, converting mechanical energy into electrical and thermal energy. Generally them are small and medium sized power plant less than 200 MW, with small investment, short construction term, high reliability and easy maintenance. Its fuels includes Diesel, HFO, Crude oil, Liquid biofuel and Pyrolysis oil, etc.
Classification of Liquid Fuel Power Plants:
1. According to the used fuels, It can be classified into Diesel power plants, HFO power plants, Crude oil power plants, and Biomass oil power plants, etc.
2. According to the installation form of power plants, they can be divided into three categories:
■ Stationary liquid fuel power plants, it can be further divided into Factory-style power plants and containerized power plants.
■ Mobile liquid fuel power plants, Including Vehicle-mounted power plants and Trailer type power plants.
■ Marine liquid fuel power plants, including Offshore platform power plants and Floating power stations (i.e. Power barges). We can provide classification society certificates according to user requirements.
3. According to the different speeds of engines used in power plants, they can be divided into three categories: High-speed power plants (speeds higher than 1000 r/min), Medium speed power plants (speeds between 300-1000 r/min), and Low-speed power plants (speeds below 300 r/min).
